We've spent last 20 years as designers working for various apparel and advertising companies. This is our first own venture bringing our passion for food and art together. We've developed unique taste for food and art from traveling around the world. Also we bring two very different cultures together from our completely different backgrounds. Our story is "A man from the West meets a woman from the East and we share our lives, cultures, beliefs and love for food and art" and we'd love to share the unique experience with all of you. EastMeetsWest is about uniting communities large and small, the similarities and differences that join us all regardless of geography bringing a new perspective found in the unusual. We want to make a difference but never to be too serious!

What the heck is PANDO 2.0 aka Fish Pocket Sandwich, "FISH-WICH" savory sibling to "Fish Puff"??
Bungeo-ppang was derived from a similar Japanese dish, taiyaki (baked sea bream). According to a 2011 book, Bungeoppang Has a Family Tree , bungeo-ppang began as the mix of Western waffles and Eastern dumplings, as the taiyaki itself became one of popular Japanese sweets just after World War II. The change of fish-shaped pastry continued, as the sea bream -shaped taiyaki became carp -shaped bungeo-ppang in Korea. Bungeo-ppang is one of the most common street food in Korea. It is often sold at street stalls, grilled in an appliance similar to a waffle iron, but with fish-shaped molds. Although red bean paste is the standard filling, many modern day bungee-ppang that are sold as street food are filled with pastry cream, pizza toppings, fruits, and so on.
